ENTRIES IN A WEEK!
Last week we launched our producer competition in conjunction
with Beatport. The enviable prize is that the winning track
is to be signed to and released on Defected later this year
as well as being professionally mixed down by the Shapeshifters.
The response has been staggering, with more than 5,000 people
signing up and 1,000 tracks entered within the first 5 days
of the launch of the competition, and with a seriously high
standard of track being entered, it is set to discover a
wealth of undiscovered talent around the globe. |

seminal house label Junior Boy's Own is launching its monthly
residency at The Hoxton Pony, a split-level, 400-capacity
bar and music venue in the heart of London's Shoreditch,
with sets from X-Press 2's Ashely Beadle and JBO legend
Terry Farley to mark the occasion and kick off the residency
in serious musical style.

Defected
In The House, now in its 7th season in Ibiza, has been awarded
a serious clubbing upgrade. Because of the popularity of
last summer's parties the label has been ceremoniously promoted
to every Saturday, the ultimate night to party in Ibiza.
Not only has the day been upgraded but the line up too,
with some seriously heavyweight appearances from the world's
best house music DJs.
